Also, feel free to connect with us on Facebook.

Here is the text of a previous event invite:

A common question from pre-law students is “What courses should I take, or must I take, if I’m interested in law school?” Have you ever wondered “What is a ‘pre-law’ course?”

The fact is that, unlike medical schools, law schools do not have a prescribed set of courses that you must take in order to qualify. But there are several courses that are both relevant and useful in one or more ways for pre-law students.

  • Do you want to know which types of courses will best prepare you for law school?
  • Do you have some free electives and want to know what ‘pre-law’ courses are offered in the Fall of 2009?The event includes:

Short presentations by professors from ‘pre-law’ fields on how their fields relate to the law and law school. The professors include,

Professor David Kaufer (English Department)
Professor Carol Goldburg (Economics Department) Professor Scott Sandage (History Department)
Professor Scheines (Philosophy Department) Professor Aronson (History Department – Director of the Ethics, History, and Public Policy Program)

  • The opportunity to ask the professors questions about their fields and the points of relevance for law that they see;
  • The opportunity to learn what courses in the Fall of 2009 will help you prepare for law school

Refreshments will be served.

Hope to see you there!
